Seems every time I leave on a vacation, it rains! However, it's good to be back home. I truly was on Paradise Island, Hawaii is so pretty. When you're in Hawaii, you do as the Island people do, "SWEAT!" And I'm not just talking "perspiring," I'm talking "sweating like a pig!"
They have their bar-b-ques, only their food isn't anywhere near as good as Texas bar-b-que. Personally, I'm a beef person and they cook pig in the ground. Their go-withers were purple sweet potatoes and rice. Give me a potato salad and beans any day One thing for sure was that they were friendly folks. Not a Yankee snob in any of them.
I thought this, Day Lights Savings Time, was for the dogs. I gained five hours when I got there , but they took it away from me when I left. Being on a plane for thirteen hours was not a good thing. I think there's an add stating, "Fly the friendly skies of United." Don't believe a word of this. Our airline was a mess and Enterprise will pick you up is another joke. These two really tried their best to mess up our beautiful vacation. Was not to their good with tow sit fire daughters in law and Down the Drain to have to deal with. They soon learned that we Texas Women aren't, push over's!!
I'm still swaying with the ship! But, to learn that our Caption was an Aggie, put my mind at ease. Buzz rocked us to sleep every night. However, I'm back home to purr in my own bed. Missed my Z and of course BAR-B-QUE!
PS Memories were made and how good it was being with my daughters! Thanks, boys for letting them go with me.
