Mason Lions Roar

The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, June 30th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 31 members and 4 visitors in attendance.

"Boss Lion" Denwood Butler was responsible for the program and introduced James Price, Immediate Past District Governor, of Kingsland Inducted the New Officers for 2009-2010 of the Mason Lions Club. Following the installing of the officers, a brief report was giving on the two young boys that the Mason Lions Club sponsored to the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville on June 14th-19th. Both campers indicated the had a great time and would like to return next summer. The meeting adjourned at 1:00p.m.

The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday July 7th at noon at Zavala's. The program will be the monthly business meeting.

The Mason Lions Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
