Benefit For Jesse Hernandez
Wednesday, July 29, 2009 • Posted July 29, 2009

Jesse Hernandez was diagnosed with IGA, a rare immune deficiency that affected his kidneys in 2006. He was on a high dosage steroid therapy for an extended period of time and is now having bilateral hip problems. The treatment that saved his kidneys caused complications some where else. A few months ago an MRI confirmed his left hip has significant necrosis, extending into the neck area and appears to be diffusely involved. The right side has significant avascular necrosis and collapse and a very large synovial ganglion cyst associated with this very destroyed joint. He needs a bilateral total hip replacement. Family and friends are trying to alleviate some of the expense for him and his family till he can get back on his feet. There will be a benefit dance on Saturday August 1st at the Mason Community Building from 9 P.M. til 1 A.M. with DJ Pete. There will also be food and raffles through out the night. If you would like to help in any capacity feel free to contact Liz Sapien @ 347-7783 or Melva Menchaca @ 347-6720, they can also help you with tickets for the various items to be raffled. Come and enjoy great music as always with DJ Pete, dance, food, and who knows you may win one of the great items to be raffled.
