Kerrville, TX-National studies indicate that at least 90% of all child safety seats are installed incorrectly! In an effort to keep our children as safe as possible, the Kerrville Police Department, Kerr County Sheriff's Department and Peterson Regional Medical Center are conducting a FREE child safety-seat check up. This free check-up will be held in the Kerrville Wal-Mart parking lot (Junciton Highway) on Saturday, August 29th, and again on Saturday, September 5th, from 9am through 12 noon.
Five certified technicians will be on hand to inspect each car seat and booster seat while providing instruction on how each seat should be properly installed and secured. Each seat will require 20-30 minutes for inspection. Those attending this safety-seat check up should bring the safety-seat, the car is being used in and if possible, the child who will be using the seat.
Make plans to come to the Kerrville Wal-Mart parking lot (Junction Highway) on Saturday, August 29th, or on Saturday September 5th, from 9am through 12 noon for this safety-seat check up. Anyone who transports children young enough to require the use of a car seat or booster seat is encouraged to attend.
