The Mason ISD Education Foundation will host a barbecue and washer-pitching tournament as a fun fundraiser on Saturday, September 12. The event will once again be held at the Art ranch of Lee and Bobbie McMillan. Head east on Hwy 29, go south on Lower Willow Creek Rd. and look for the signs and balloons.
Registration for the tournament begins at 3:30 p.m. and closes at 4:15 p.m. The entry fee is $60.00 per 2-person team. Teams will also be auctioned off by auctioneer Jeff Owen at 4:30 p.m. The single elimination tournament begins at 5:00 p.m. Come cheer for your favorite team!
There will be lots of great barbecue, cooked by Chef Lee McMillan, along with all the trimmings and lots of drinks and desserts. The meal is by donation only and we will start serving at 6:30 p.m.
A live auction will be held with lots of great items, as well as several yummy cakes!
The primary purpose of the Education Foundation is to raise money for school programs that are not otherwise funded through tax dollars. The Mason ISD Education Foundation’s mission is to generate and distribute resources to the Mason ISD teachers to enrich, maintain, and expand programs needed to meet the District’s mission of excellence in education. Help us meet our goal by supporting this event, while helping our school district.
Everyone had a great time at last year’s event, so come on out and join us for a fun evening for a very worthwhile cause.
