The Mason Bluebonnet Study Club will begin a new club year on Monday, September 21 at 2:00 p.m. in the Richard P. Eckert Civic Center. A very special guest speaker, Dolores Keller, will lead the group in a study of the early history of Mason County. Ms. Keller has personal knowledge which was passed down through generations of her own family and will share it with those in attendance.

A business meeting will be conducted by club president Mary Hemphill following the presentation by Ms. Keller. A needs list for The Haven will be distributed in preparation for the October 19th Shelter Shower being sponsored by the club. (The Haven is a shelter for victims of domestic abuse serving Mason, McCulloch, and Menard Counties.)

Visitors are welcome to attend every meeting of the Mason Bluebonnet Study Club and new members are being sought. A few hours invested each month can make a difference in one’s own life and in the lives of those around them.

The club which was formed in 1941 is a member of Alamo District of the Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs, a part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. Members are encouraged toward community involvement and volunteerism to help make our world a better place.
