Local Bass Anglers Make a Good Showing!
Wednesday, September 16, 2009 • Posted September 16, 2009

The bass fishing team of Chuck Bradley and Denwood Butler finished in the top 10 in the West Texas Team Trail for the 2009 season. Following the regular season tournaments at Lake Amistad, OH Ivie, Brownwood and Hubbard Creek, Mason’s bass fishing duo took 4th place (out of 78 teams) along with a free entry to the Championship Tournament at Lake Amistad this past weekend.

At the end of day one, of the two day tourney, our home team was in 2nd place. At the end of day two, the eventual winning team was overheard as saying, “we were worried about those Mason boys all day.”

Despite the wind and one keeper fish escaping the live well while loading at the ramp, Bradley & Butler ended up tying for 7th place out of 48 teams. Congratulations to a couple of bass fishing addicts!
