Bob Kruse passed away peacefully at his home on September 11, 2009.

He will be missed by his three children and their families, Mark and DeDe Kruse of Abilene; David and Kim Massey of Abilene, and Bryan and Beth Horner of San Angelo. He had eight grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law in Colorado, Charlie and Virginia Mae Green. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Latrelle.

Bob loved the Lord and taught others his entire life. He served as a minister in several places, including many years in Mason, Texas, and particularly enjoyed working with young people in churches and schools. He owned and operated Bob's Barbecue in Mason for 15 years. In his most recent years, he taught Bible classes to both adults and high school age at Southgate Church. He substituted regularly at Wall Middle School and High School, where he was loved and respected by both teachers and students. Teaching was his greatest joy, and the strongest desire of his final years was to teach as long as he was able.

Memorial donations may be made to San Angelo Christian Academy, 518 Country Club Road, San Angelo, 76904, or to the youth group at Southgate Church of Christ.

Visitation will be at Johnson's Funeral Home, Monday, September 14, 5:00-6:30.

Memorial service at Southgate Church of Christ, 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 15.

Graveside services will be at Gooch Cemetery in Mason, Texas, 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
