Local Exhibitor Earns Top-10 Finish in Bayer Select.

Amarillo, Texas—Sheila Rhodes of Mason, Texas and Ladys Magic Touch, a 2005 Sorrell American Quarter Horse Mare, placed in the Top-10 in aged mares at the 2009 Bayer Select World Championship Show, August 31 - September 6 in Amarillo, Texas.

"Qualifying and competing in the Bayer Select World Championship Show is a great honor," said Don Treadway Jr., AQHA Executive Vice President. "Congratulations to Sheila Rhodes and Ladys Magic Touch for earning a top-10 finish in this prestigious event."

The Bayer Select World Championship Show is an invitational event specifically for amateur exhibitors age 50 and older. To qualify, exhibitors along with their horses must have earned a certain number of points in AQHA approved shows between June 1, 2008, and May 31, 2009. This is the seventh year for the show, with numbers increasing each year as exhibitors from around the world compete for 41 World Championship titles.

America's Horse TV, AQHA's new on-line television initiative, will have highlights from the Bayer Select World following the show. The American Quarter Horse Journal will have the results of the Bayer Select World Championship Show in the November issue.
