Wednesday, September 23, 2009 • Posted September 23, 2009

Sixth grader Natalie Hoffman auditioned for Fredericksburg Theater’s Teen Troupe and was recently accepted into the program which will run through January.

Natalie is one of the youngest members of the team but has been acting since she was six years old. She has participated in many of Mrs. Dawn Hahn’s musical productions locally and has attended Steven Stoli’s acting camp in San Antonio. This past summer she attended a private acting camp in Philadelphia where she performed a monologue from Shakespeare, learned hip hop dance routines and performed live improv.

She played a reporter in The Fairy Tale Felon a few years ago in Fredericksburg and has a passion for acting.

“It’s a great way to express yourself by being any kind of character that you want to be. Also, I love the feeling of being on stage and entertaining people.”

Melodie Lane will be directing the cast of 6th-12th graders who will perform throughout the hill country towards the end of the year.

Natalie is the daughter of Tina and Galen Hoffman and is an honor student at Mason Junior High. She is also involved in Girl Scouts, band, tennis, basketball and baseball.

“My mom and dad will argue with me but, I’m the funniest one in the family!”
