Beautiful weather! I looks like Spring and feels like Fall. The rain last week was fine and we are ready for more. Pray for rain.

Three people will celebrate birthdays on October 9th: Nancy Jordan, Jeff Kingston and Lizzie Cano. Hazel Martin has her birthday on October 11th and Melissa Toone Kothmann will celebrate on October 14th while Kevin and Melissa Kothmann will celebrate their anniversary on October 4th. Laird and Beth Palmer will have their anniversary party on October 11th and John and Kelly Mutschink will celebrate their first anniversary on October 11th. It’s time for some great parties.

Matt Krause graduated from the navy’s basic training on October 4th and Mark and Barbara were there for the big event. Thanks for all of the prayers.

Wednesday, October 14th, is the big day. Come to church for the Organizational Meeting for the Christmas Program. This is big stuff. You want to be a part of this event. Be on time at 6:30 p.m. and bring the family. Tyra has plans for something big.

On Sunday, October 18th, the Art church picture will be taken at 10:00 a.m. Wear your “uniform” and your smile, then stay for church since you will be on time without trying.

Then, on Saturday, October 24th, bring your tools and gloves for the Work Day. We will start before 9:00 a.m and work until 12:00 noon.

On Saturday, I met Lisa in San Antonio and we went to a wedding in Castroville. My granddaughter, Jessica Cerney, married Kevin Lloyd at a ranch with all of the bells and whistles. Her sisters, Ashley Cerney and Kelli Townsend were among the eight bridesmaids, and great grandson Noah Aguilar served as ring bearer. We were worried that rain would move the service indoors but the rain held off and the service and reception were lovely.
