Mason Does Well at Heart of the Hills Barrel Racing

Mason contestants brought home numerous awards from the Heart of the Hills Barrel Racing Association. The finals were held in Harper Texas, on Saturday, October 17, 2009. Contestants attended a total of 12 rodeos all over the Texas Hill Country from March until October.

Jesse Armstrong won the Champion 8 & Under Barrel Saddle. Pam Armstrong won the Champion Novice Barrel Saddle & Reserve Champion 3D Open Barrel Buckle. Katy Armstrong won a Reserve Champion Open 1D Barrel Buckle, Reserve Champion 9-11 Barrel buckle, Reserve Champion 1D Open Pole Buckle, & 4th place 9-11 Pole Buckle. Kody Criswell won a Champion 9-11 Pole Saddle, Reserve Champion Open 2D Pole Buckle, & 6th 9-11 Barrel Buckle.

Sterling Smith won an award for the most improved, 3rd place 8 & Under Barrel Buckle, & 4th place 8 & Under Pole Buckle. Steeley Smith won the Open 1D Champion Barrel Saddle, Champion 9-11 Barrel Saddle, Reserve Champion Open 2D Barrel Buckle, & 5th place 9-11 Pole Buckle.

Jim Bob Smith was the Champion Daddy Pole Bender and Reserve Champion Daddy Pole Bender was Shane Criswell.
