Tannenbaum, Mason's traditional Arts and Crafts sale for fall, will soon be here. Booths will again be open for browsing and buying Thanksgiving weekend. Please do not confuse Mason's Tannenbaum with the Gillespie County Historical Society's Tannenbaum with the Gillespie County Historical Society's Tannenbaum Ball.
Application for booths has been brisk. If you are interested in showing your wares and haven't turned in an application, now is the time to do so. Applications are available at the Chamber of Commerce or call 347-5151 or 347-6681 for information.
Tannenbaum is sponsored by the Mason County Museum, which operates on donations and it is their annual funding project. Rather than the former silent auction, donations will be solicited for extra funding.
Originally, this event was founded by the now discontinued Crafter's Guild. This organization, a group of local crafters, showed their wares and invited out of town crafters to join them. Mason gifted artisans will once again have booths along with invited crafters. Put Saturday, November 28, on your calendars for the end to a great 2009 Thanksgiving.
