This Thursday, Thanksgiving, I’ll have met the halfway mark for this wheel chair bit! At least I’m hoping it will be! I’m now sporting a new maroon hard cast. And it’s a heavy one!
You have to have to ask questions to doctors and ask that they tell you the answers in "5th Grade English!" If not you’ll never know. It seems that the doc replaced a broken belt, "tendon!" ; Tighten the loose belts, "ligaments!"; Then realigned my heel! So, this my folks said, "YOU GOT A FOOT LIFT!"
I know it would have been more fashionable to have a "Face Lift!" But, sometimes you’ve got to start from the bottom and work up.
Yep, being unable to get up and get with the program, is frustrating! But, when I get to feeling this way, I just do something. Those extended Swiffer Dusters are handy. And, sometimes doing the dishes is a real treat. Swiffer Sweepers are also neat. I just Swiffer as I go and get it in one pile. Now, getting the pile up is another problem, but I can manage that, too!
Then there are my little four legged friends, Uncle Archie, Nacha, Earl and Rojo, that make me laugh. Uncle Archie doesn’t play with his toys, but uses them to rest his head on! Now, that’s a smart thinking dog! Cousin Louie isn’t allowed too near me, as I’m afraid that Louie will want to hop in my lap and expect a ride!
P.S. I’m not reporting on Z this week. Seems some things are best left unsaid. He’s not a slow learner, he just a REFUSING TO LEARNER! Happy Turkey Day to all!
