January 21st and 22nd, KPAS will feature the colorful, brilliant, rich in tradition, 55-member dance company accompanied by 15 musicians as one of the largest companies to perform in the history of the Cailloux Theater. This production highlights the zest for rich Mexican tradition and folklore and has been performed over 5,000 times throughout the world by this company that is permanently housed at the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico City.

The Los Angeles Times describes this phenomenal company as, " Passionate and Impeccable…an incomparable spot to enter to the richness of a fabulous culture."

Following this cultural event from Mexico, KPAS will transform the theater into a concert hall featuring five of the finest musicians in the world…from Berlin, Germany. The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, considered by many to be on the top tier of orchestras worldwide, will feature their woodwind quintet in an evening of works by Mozart, Reicha, Milhaud and Nielsen.

The flautist of this fine ensemble, Professor Michael Hasel, has stated, "I think the ultimate goal for every musician who wants to play in an orchestra is to belong to the Berliner Philharmoniker. The artistic quality, the working conditions, the conductors, soloists and colleagues are on a level that cannot be found anywhere else. We have the opportunity of ‘making music’ – in the truest sense of the word – with the best conductors and soloists."

This fine wind quintet perform will perform on Tuesday, January 26th and again on Thursday, January 28th. The ensemble will be in Residence at the University of Texas in Austin during this time, but will drive to Kerrville for the two evening performances.
