Mason Schools Improve Telephone System

With money from a combination of grants and local monies, Mason ISD has a new telephone system. The new system is intended to improve communication, reduce the amount of time personnel spend transferring calls, and allow the caller to reach the person he/she is calling more quickly. Classroom telephones will allow for improved communication between teachers and parents as well as enhanced communication between other staff members and the community. As with anything new, change is involved including minor glitches.

The automated answering system is a continued feature of the new system and will work basically the same as the previous system. Your call will be answered automatically and you will be presented with a menu of options including communication in Spanish. Telephone numbers will remain the same with 347-1122 as the primary number for all three campuses including the administration office. The administrative office can also be reached directly by calling 347-1144. The campus menu is as follows:
