The 8th Grade Boys picked up another victory this past Monday. The Punchers traveled to Miles for another district contest, and the first game after the long Christmas break. Usually you don’t play very well coming off the Christmas intermission, but the Punchers did. We played very good defense which kept us in the game despite the fact that we trailed in this contest most of the game.

Miles led 6-13 at half-time but a rally by the Punchers in period three gave new breath to the home boys. Our guys buckled down on their press with 2:45 remaining, then came from behind for the five point win .

We continue to have several guys scoring in each contest, which is exactly the way I like it. When you have eight athletes out of eleven scoring and everyone else is playing good defense, good things happen.
