The Fine Arts Association of the Hill country will sponsor a workshop entitled Painting, with a Point!
Warren Taylor, head of the Midland College Art Department, is offering a short affordable workshop featuring water soluble crayon-pastels and pencils. Warren says these material have much potential, are light fast, very mobile and enjoyable.
The two day workshop, offered Thursday, February 18 and Friday, February 19th 2010, will consist of demos, talks and hands-on teaching. Mr. Taylor’s aim is to present a new twist that can bring new ideas and expressions to artists seeking stimulation and encouragement. Aside from teaching art for 30 years, Warren is a producing artist, exhibiting work in over two hundred exhibitions throughout his career. He has given talks , lectures and judged art exhibits. Join us for a two days of demonstration, talks, experiments and just plain fun. Mr. Taylor says bring a sense of humor and/or a willingness to scribble!
