Mason County Historical Commission Still Needs Pictures
Wednesday, February 10, 2010 • Posted February 10, 2010

The Mason County Historical Commission is still looking for pictures for their newest publication which they hope to have on sale by this summer or early fall. Although we’ve collected a lot of pictures, we are still short on photos from the 1920’s, 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s.

We’d prefer photos that are not "posed" or "formal". Pictures of family outings, picnics, fun on the river or creeks, herding cattle, horseback riding, swimming, etc. We do need to have any people in the photo identified along with an approximate date and something about the picture itself.

DEADLINE FOR THE PHOTOS IS APRIL 1. You can take the photos (or copies of the photos) to Jane Hoerster at the Archives Room in the library, or email them to Jan Appleby (janell@ctesc.net) or Scott Zesch (szesch@hctc.net). For more information, call Jan at 347-6583 after 6:30 p.m. or Scott at 347-6291.
