Thrift Store Seeking Grant Applicants
Wednesday, February 10, 2010 • Posted February 10, 2010

The Mason Community Thrift Store is set up to meet many needs. It is a place to take clothing and other items that you no longer want or need. It is a place to shop locally, saving time and money. By doing these things, it becomes a place where revenue is collected to be used for the good of the community of Mason. Funding has been granted to assist with many things, including equipment for the local EMS and volunteer fire department, the benches and flowerpots around the square, building repair and signage at the food bank, and much more. In all, more than $55,000 has been put back into the community since 2007. We are looking forward to even more in the future.

This is a reminder that the deadline for the next round of grant requests is March 1st. Request forms are available at the Thrift Store. If your organization has been wanting to do something that would benefit a segment of the population, or the entire community of Mason, but has not had the funds, we encourage you to apply for a grant. We are not able to grant every request, but you won’t know unless you try.
