The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, February 2nd, for its regular monthly business meeting. There were 35 members and 2 visitors in attendance.

"Boss" Lion Chris Dyer was responsible for the program and Secretary/Treasurer Gene Gammill read the minutes and gave the financial report. New members, Will Slaughter and Ken Cordero were installed into the club. Their sponsors were Thom Canfield and Nolan Donop, respectively.

Denwood Butler gave a presentation on possible uses of the land at the old Scout Hut. Much discussion followed. The meeting adjourned about 1:15 p.m.

The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, February 9th, at noon at Zavala's. The program will be Eldon Kothmann.

The Mason Lions Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
