Mason Puncher Invitational

Six schools turned out on February 15th, for the Mason Puncher Invitational Golf Tournament. Yes, it was a very cold and blustery day. You know when there is ice in the ditches that it is cold outside and not a good day for the faint of heart golfer. Representing the area schools were; Mason, Brady, Ingram, Llano and Menard. Mason fielded 12 golfers and another 7 golfers were held back due to basketball playoffs. Brady #1 placed 1st – 348, Mason #1 placed 2nd – 429, Mason #2 place 3rd – 456. Brady golfers took the first five medalist spots and Freshman Matt Clark from Mason was the 6th place medalist. The Punchers will be traveling to Hidden Springs Golf Course in Harper this week to participate in the Ingram Invitational.

Mason Cowgirl Invitational

Four schools turned out for the Cowgirl Invitational Golf Tournament on February 18th. As with the boy’s basketball, the Cowgirls were unable to field team. The morning turned out cold but quickly warmed up by the end of the round. Ingram and Brady both tied with team scores of 487. Ingram won the tie using the 5th players score for a playoff. Jenny Smith of Mason was First medalist with a score of 105. Havana Schmidt was second medalist with a score of 112. The Cowgirls will be traveling to Hidden Springs on Friday to compete in the Ingram Invitational golf tournament.
