The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, March 2nd, for its monthly business meeting. There were 40 members and no visitors in attendance.

"Boss" Lion Chris Dyer was responsible for the program and Sec./Tres. Gene Gammill read the minutes and gave the financial report.

Denwood Butler finished giving his program on the land owned by the Lions Club. There was some lively discussion following the presentation, and it was decided to continue this at the next business meeting. Meeting adjourned about 1 p.m.

The Club purchased one pair of eyeglasses for an individual this month.

The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, March 9th, at noon at Zavala's. The program chairman will be Mark Lehmberg.

The Mason Lions has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
