The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, March 9th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 34 members and 5 visitors in attendance.

Lion Bruce Lehmberg was responsible for the program and introduced Paul Smith and Salah Smith who spoke about the Mason High School Tennis Program.

Paul talked about the group of students he has in the tennis program and how many other activities that the students are involved in. He told about the success the team tennis players have had this year and they will be at the State meet on March 12th and 13th in Austin. Paul talked about the up coming tennis season and what he expected from this years team.

The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, March 16th, at noon at Zavala's. The program chairman will be Roger Lucenbach and the program will be on the High School Band Program.

The Mason Lions has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
