The BarBQ fundraiser on March 12 to support restoration activities at Fort Mason was a great success. Lines formed early and local businesses sent runners to collect plates for all the people in their offices. The food was great, the turnout great, and overall support was great!
Thanks go out to a number of folks and businesses that contributed supplies, food, and drinks to this effort. In addition to the Mason County Historical society volunteers, special thanks to Neal Little, Delores Keller, DeeAnn Stahl, Julie Harrison, Sheila Innis, Max Jordan, Zavala’s, Coopers, WalMart, HEB, Mason Bottling, and Super S. And a super thanks to our local media outlets for allowing publicity on the event – Mason County News, KHLB, and KNEL. Your support is greatly appreciated and will help provide more and more enhancements to Fort Mason. Be sure and go up to see the results!
