The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, March 16th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 38 members and 3 visitors in attendance.

Lion Roger Luckenbach was responsible for the program and introduced Pat Ruiz, Band Director and Dr. Adam Estes, Assistant Band Director of Mason High School Band. Mr. Ruiz introduced four of the band members they brought with them, then each one played a selected piece on their respective instrument. They were James Perlichek-7th grade, on the tenor sax, Drigo Martinez-8th grade, on the euphonium, Katherine Koock-Freshman, on the clarinet and Andrew Willis-Sophomore, on the alto sax. Each performance brought a hearty round of applause from the club. These young people, along with Mr. Ruiz and Dr. Estes are to be commended on the talent and dedication to their music.

The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, March 23rd, at noon at Zavala's. The program chairman will be Lee McMillan.

The Mason Lions has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
