Wednesday, March 31, 2010 • Posted March 31, 2010

Local business owner Joe Keller sees his job as more than just volts and watts-he also enjoys dealing with the diverse customer base he serves every day.

Joe is the franchise owner of Mr. Electric®of Mason. He also owns Mr. Electric of Williamson County.

"That's one of the great aspects of my job," said Joe. "Every day brings new faces and challenges. I can go from installing ceiling fans for excited new home owners to security and landscape lighting the next. So many different kinds of wonderful people make up our area that each day is different."

Joe celebrated the grand opening of his Mason operation March 24, 2010 at his office at 920 Ischar Street.

"The Mr. Electric concept of courteous and professional service is what fuels us," added Joe "I believe the key to business success lies in more than just doing a job for the customer. I think building relationships with my customers, in addition to providing top-notch service, is the secret to success. I also believe this philosophy flows over into and enhances my personal life as I treat others as I would like to be treated.

Mr. Electric of Mason offers residential and commercial full service repair, replacement and upgrades as well as security and outdoor lighting, emergency generators, surge protection, home safety checks and a members-only Advantage Plan™offering priority scheduling, preferential pricing and a variety of other consumer-friendly perks.

Joe has over 36 years of experience in the electrical field. He spent 6 years as an electrician in the U.S. Navy; the last 4 of which he was an electric plant operator on the nuclear submarine, USS Tecumseh SSBN 628. After being Honorably Discharged from the Navy, Joe learned and worked in the civilian electrical world. In 1986, Joe passed his Master Electrician's Exam and received his Master Electrician's license. Joe has been in business for himself since 1987. In 2004, Joe bought his Mr. Electric Franchise.

While growing up, Joe spent many hours at the Mason ranch owned by his grandfather, Emeth Keller. With those ties to Mason and Joe's wife of 35 years, Shirley, being from Fredericksburg, they both wanted to move to the Hill Country. Starting to do electrical work in the Mason area is part of realizing that goal.
