Fredericksburg Tea Party to Give Cash Prizes to Essay Winners

The Fredericksburg is gearing up for the "Tax Day Tea Party" on April 15. Fredericksburg will joining hundreds of Tea Party groups across the nation to rally for The Constitution and against big government.

The Fredericksburg Tea Party is pleased to facilitate a contest between all high school students attending 9th through 12th grades within a 60 mile radius of Fredericksburg. Each contestant will write a 500-600 word essay entitled, The Constitution and What It Means to Me. The contest began on March 8, 2010. All entries must be submitted and post-marked by April 5, 2010. All winners MUST BE ABLE to present their winning essays as part of the Tea Party Rally program on April 15. Entries should be mailed to Fredericksburg Tea Party, P.O. Box 1934, Fredericksburg, Texas 78624. Four winners will be chosen, representing each grade level. Each winner will receive a $100 cash prize.

The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Marktplatz, at the corner of Austin Street and Adams Street in Fredericksburg, Texas.
