Mason Teachers Present Workshop at 8th Annual Literacy Conference
Wednesday, April 7, 2010 • Posted April 7, 2010

Teachers and instructional assistants from Mason Elementary presented a workshop called "Prime Time: A Positive Approach to Response to Intervention" on February 6th at the 8th Annual Literacy Conference. The Literacy Conference was held at Angelo State University in San Angelo and was conducted in partnership between Angelo State and ESC Region XV.

The workshop described a program started at Mason Elementary last year called "Prime Time." Prime Time is a 30 minutes intervention block of each grade level’s (K-4) academic day above the already scheduled Reading/ELA classes. The purpose is to meet the individual learning needs of students whether remedial or accelerated.

If your organization is interested in learning about this approach that Mason Elementary is using to meet the needs of students, please contact the elementary principal, Mrs. Tammy Parrish at 325-347-1122.
