Mason's Spring Clean-up This Weekend
Wednesday, April 14, 2010 • Posted April 14, 2010

Update as of April 16, 7:15 a.m.: Due to the heavy rains, the cleanup and recycling programs have been cancelled for Friday and Saturday. They will be rescheduled.

The City Landfill will be opened for Spring Clean-up to all city and county residents with no charge, on Thursday, April 15th open during regular hours. Friday, April 16th we will be open until 8:00pm, and Saturday, April 17th open until noon.

We will be accepting only household refuse, no Commercial debris which will include not taking any paint material. Also we will have a tire collection trailer at the Recycle center on Ave F. However this time the cost will have to be covered by the City so the Commission decided each person bringing tires would be charged $1.00 per tire, it will be limited to only 8 tires per household, also no big rig tires or tractor tires will be accepted.

The recycling center will also be taking batteries, cardboard, and plastics. It is exciting to see the effort and the enthusiasm of our Citizens, City Commission and City crew’s in their willingness to help keep Mason beautiful. Please take advantage of our Spring Clean-up to beautify Mason.
