CTEC Honors Mason Retiree
Wednesday, April 14, 2010 • Posted April 14, 2010

On Tuesday, April 6th, CTEC Managers, Directors, and employees gathered at the Mason CTEC office to honor a recent retiree, Jane Zesch, Branch Office Representative.

Jane was hired by Helen Rode as a cashier with Darlene Brandenberger, and started her career on December 10, 1996. Her duties included answering the phones, taking payments and applications for service, issuing service orders, and dispatching crews during business hours.

Jane says the biggest change she witnessed in her career was the move to total reliance on the computer. She commented that the most satisfying part of her job was helping the members, especially those that may have had temporary financial problems. She said she especially liked giving and getting smiles from the members that came into the office, and when she saw them later in town.

Her plans for the immediate future are to spend more time with her kids, grandkids, her puppies, and "of course my husband, Z." In brief comments, Jane specifically praised her co-workers and said it had been a pleasure and a privilege to work for and with all of them.

Central Texas Electric Co-op serves about 36,000 meters in 11 hill country counties. CTEC has been providing electric service since 1947, and currently has about 140 employees in four offices.
