Mason County Habitat for Humanity is inviting the public to attend the dedication of the eighth house they have constructed in Mason. The dedication ceremony allows for a formal blessing of the new home prior to move in by the partner family, and also allows all those who have been involved in the construction process to welcome the new homeowner to their home.
This house, at 1209 Loving Street, will be owned by Jimie Menchaca and her daughter, India Airheart. The dedication ceremony is scheduled for Friday morning at 9:00 a.m., and coffee and donuts will be served.
Habitat president, Paul Branch, proudly points out that this house is the first certified "green" house in Mason County. Construction foreman, Keith Kaan, will be on hand to explain just what that means to the community, and to Jimie, the new homeowner.
Mason County Habitat is also proud that this home dedication is occurring while the last group of Habitat Care-A-Vanners are still in town, which means they will have an opportunity to also welcome Jimie and India into their new home.
Drop on by Friday morning and offer your own blessings and wishes for a happy home to the newest Habitat homeowner in Mason.
