Wednesday, April 21, 2010 • Posted April 21, 2010

DOSS, TX – This week, Texas author Rob Franklin celebrates the nationwide release of his juvenile fiction adventure, "The Dragonnade." The first installment of the Acorn Warriors series takes readers to Sir Randolph’s forest, where Randolph and the other members of the council of Roxford discover why the land is not changing for the better.

Across the border the gray squirrel dictator makes plans to profit from Roxford’s abundance by whatever means necessary. And he’s hired crows. Now Roxford finds itself struggling for its very survival while forging a state of its own.

Sir Randolph and the governor, Rafael, must confront the tyrant of Gray Forest and the dark peril, MythMahada, before their fight to preserve their way of life is through.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com. This is also an eLIVE title, meaning each copy contains a code redeemable for a free audio book version from TatePublishing.com.

Franklin grew up with a love for the outdoors, and an appreciation for those who have fought and died for freedom. He is a Language Arts teacher living in Doss, Texas, with his wife and six children. He is currently teaching in Menard, Texas.

His first book-signing event will be this Saturday at Hastings in Kerrville from 2:00 to 4:00.
