How Being Stuck in the Mud Can Turn into a Wonderful Day!
We’ve only owned our property in Mason a short while, and are still learning about our land. After the amount of rain Mason has had over the last few weeks, we learned that driving a truck on our unpaved road, without 4-wheel drive was probably not a good thing.
Yes, we were stuck in the mud about 50 yards off of the main road, and were very successful in digging in deeper! With our cell signal cutting out and up to our bumper in mud, our only option was trying to flag someone down for some suggestions and hopefully a tow.
A nice lady stopped and tried to reach her son on the phone, then a neighbor and his son drove in and tried to pull us out (we got them stuck!). Another truck arrived with two men, pulled out the first truck and gave it all they had to pull us out, no luck! Another neighbor and his son stopped to see what they could do, and the good people kept on coming! New friends and neighbors everywhere!
We were eventually towed out, but the blessings kept on coming in the form of names and numbers scribbled on a piece of paper front and back, given to us just in case we needed help in the future. This sincere warmth and hospitality is what drew us to Mason to begin with, and we just wanted to take a moment to thank y’all. God has truly blessed Mason with wonderful people!
