Investing in Children
Wednesday, April 28, 2010 • Posted April 28, 2010

April is a time to stop and remember our children suffering the horrors of child abuse, as we commemorate Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month. Take time to think of these innocent children who are desperately looking for some way to escape the harsh reality of an abusive life and begin the path to finding a safe and permanent home.

An investment in children is an investment in community and economic development. Likewise, when we support communities, we support the families that live in them. When families are supported, children are more likely to grow up happy and healthy, free from the risk of maltreatment.

Thankfully, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) is there to help these young victims find hope for a brighter future in a safe, loving home. Our CASA volunteers are part of a national volunteer base of over 50,000 CASA volunteers nationally, speaking up for abused and neglected children all over the country.

We thank each and every one of our Volunteer Advocates, the "Friends" of Bluebonnet CASA and all of our caring businesses that have supported Bluebonnet CASA in our Mission to provide a safe and promising future for our most vulnerable citizens……our children.
