Mason Puncher Baseball Playoff Bound
Wednesday, April 28, 2010 • Posted April 28, 2010

With only two more district games to go, the Mason Baseball team has clinched a playoff position.

The preseason started off a little rocky with some injuries and not much practice time before season started due to the great performance of the basketball team. Since District started, the team has lost only one District game. The loss was to the Eldorado Eagles. Their pitcher, Garrett Lux, pitched an amazing game and our bats were not quite there that game.

With the way the schedule played out, there were some non-district games mixed in with regular season games. Mason has played Harper and Bangs in Non-District. Bangs is undefeated in their 2-A district and when the last play ended a 10 inning game, Mason came out the winner.

As it stands with one game to go, Mason and Eldorado are tied for the Championship. On Saturday, May 1st, Mason will travel to Eldorado for the final game of the season. It does not get any better than this folks. The final game of District with the Championship on the line.

If you have not been out to see these boys play baseball, you have missed an exciting time. The Punchers have been dominant all season. If you can make it, please come out on Saturday in Eldorado at 3:30 and cheer these boys to victory!

Also, there will be Baseball Play-Off T-Shirts available. If you are interested please contact Melody Trip 347-7013 to order. See you in Eldorado!
