Introducting Mr. & Mrs. Rode Alan Moore

Sarita Lynn Gonzalez and Rodé Alan Moore were joyfully united in marriage January 23, 2010, at six o’clock in the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Eagle Pass, Texas. Pastor Mike Gary, minister of Word of Life Church in Eagle Pass, performed the evening ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Salvador & Johnnie Lee Gonzalez of Eagle Pass, Texas. Sarita is the granddaughter of John Harry Hardt, Sr. of Quemado Valley, Texas and the late Margaret Lee Hardt and the late Juan Manuel & Margarita Gonzalez of Bracketville, Texas.

The groom is the son of Randy & Julie Moore of Fredonia, Texas. Rodé is the grandson of the late Raymond & Bobbie Moore of Florence, Texas and the late Lewis H. (Buck) & Margy Jones of Lampasas, Texas.

Sarita, who was given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory lace gown embellished with pearls and crystals and a chapel-length train. The bridesmaids wore espresso chiffon floor length gowns and carried white roses, lilies and tulips. Rodé and his groomsmen wore traditional formal black tuxedos.

Matron of Honor was Katrina Longoria of Eagle Pass and Elise Gonzalez, sister of the bride, also of Eagle Pass, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jancie Hills, sister of the groom, of Cheltenham England, Savannah Foster of Eagle Pass, Emma Cano-Tapia & Sylvia Cardona, both of San Antonio and Laura McCullough of Corpus Christi.

Justin McMillan of San Antonio served as best man. Groomsmen were Walt Reichenau of Cleveland, Chase Smith & Kody Eckert, both of Mason, Kyle Eckert of Johnson City, David Parker of Crowley, Johnny Philipello of Austin and Tim Sisak of New Braunfels. The ushers were Cade Smith of San Angelo, Jason McMillan of Mason and Kelly Jennings of Granbury.

Flower girl was Hannah Lee Hardt, cousin of the bride, of Eagle Pass and ring bearer was Evan Longoria also of Eagle Pass.

John M. & Rebecca Kuker, cousins of the groom, of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Landon W. & Korrie Lawson of San Antonio read scripture from God’s Word during the ceremony. Vocalist, Jessica Kowalski-Cavasos of Eagle Pass, sang The Rose and Ave Maria.

Rodé & Sarita celebrated their first meal as husband and wife by breaking bread together and taking wine in Holy Communion, administered by Pastor Mike Gary. Each of their parents came to the altar to join them in a special prayer of blessing on their union at the end of the communion observance.

A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the International Trade Center in Eagle Pass. The décor was an espresso and gold theme accented with ivory fresh flowers including roses, lilies, tulips, hydrangea, iris and orchids. Candles also highlighted every area of the room. Guests were treated to an evening of dinner and dancing as well as being entertained by a lively mariachi group during the meal.

The couple enjoyed a seven day honeymoon to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Upon return, they are currently living in San Antonio where the groom is employed by the firm, Haynes & Boone LLP and the bride is employed by the Law Office of Ben Wallis.
