As announced previously, Riata Service Organization is stirring up public interest for publishing a fifth cookbook. The new book, REFLECTIONS IN TIME . . CELEBRATING 60 YEARS, will include favorite recipes from the previous four books and mixing in new recipes. Until June 15th, the revised deadline, anyone can submit either or both, your favorite recipes from the four books and new recipes. Recipes may be submitted by hand, by mail or by internet. Persons may hand deliver recipes directly to any Riata member. Recipes may be mailed to Riata at PO Box 506, Mason TX 76856. Or toss your recipe to us in the new modern method by sending it via the internet to: email@example.com
Also, Riata would be very pleased to have participation from every restaurant and every caterer in Mason. Please send, in the manner as stated above, a recipe from your restaurant or your files. A Riata member will personally contact each restaurant and caterer regarding this request.

To submit a NEW recipe, please try to use the same format as the SAMPLE recipe printed below:. (Put the name of the recipe centered at the top; list the ingredients in two columns; no abbreviations; the directions of preparation should be in paragraph form; add your name at the lower right hand margin.)
1 bunch fresh broccoli
6 green onions, finely chopped cut into small pieces
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 medium head cauliflower broken into florets
1/4 cup whipping cream
2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 cups celery, finely chopped
1 teaspoon salt
Combine all the vegetables in a bowl. Blend remaining ingredients andpour over the vegetables and toss lightly. Refreigerate overnight.
