A Joyful Noise in Brady

A Joyful Noise Celebration, a free Christian concert, will take place Friday, June 25, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Ed Davenport Civic Center in Brady. The concert which will showcase a variety of Christian music is being held as a fundraiser for two local non-profit agencies: The Haven Family Violence/Sexual Assault Shelter which covers McCulloch, Menard, and Mason counties and Casa Care, a local after school program.

While the concert is free, donations are appreciated. Casa Care and The Haven will be selling brisket sandwiches, hot dogs, and concessions. A beautiful diamond cross pendant valued at $500 from Young’s Jewelry is being raffled. Tickets are $5.00 each or 5 for $20. A silent auction will also be held with a variety of items from fine art to river tubing certificates.

The list of performers keeps growing. Currently scheduled are Jenny Taylor of Llano, Crystal Lyons of Voca, Wes Nickson, Lost Creek, Rays of Dawn, The Heart of Texas Blues and Jazz Band, Wynona Williams, Bill Cotter, Jeri Alice Arsenault, Mike Finlay, Life Song, Rick Stone, JoAnn Dalgard, and Norma Rideout.
