Sunday was a beautiful day in downtown Art. It was quite windy and dry. Pray for rain.

Our sincere condolences are offered to the family of John Dalton Fleming after his death last week. We especially ask God to comfort his wife Lou during this time.
Prayers for healing were expressed for Andrew Kothmann, Pearl Leifeste and Anna Grace Durst. Prayers for God’s guidance for our country’s leaders were given and we also prayed for God to keep looking after our troops and keep them safe.
We are especially thankful to Jackie Johnson for all of the time and effort he puts in to keep the grass cut around the church, cemetery and park. It seems that almost every time I go by the church during the week that his red truck and trailer are there. Thanks Jackie for all that you do. We really appreciate your work. Thanks.
We need to give our money and time to help Tyra Jordan feed the kids and workers at Vacation Bible School during the week of July 5th thru 9th. Give your money to Tyra this week so she can begin buying the food and snacks.
Roger Jordan provided the message titled "Being a Role Model" while Pastor Mark continues his vacation. The scripture lesson comes from Titus 2:6-8, 11-14, and 3:1-8. These are words of encouragement by Paul for Titus to be strong and keep in mind Jesus the Christ and His life and death and resurrection. In Chapter 3, Paul reminds Titus of the last days and the troubles to expect.
We are all justified by our faith. The saying is sure and worthy of confidence: If we have died with Him, we shall also live with Him (verse 11). If we are faithful and true to Him, He remains true and faithful to us.
Try to be more Christ-like as you walk the earth. Let everyone know that God is with you in your daily work. The grace of God is our motivator for Christian living.
Roger talked about the rocks that are in our way as drive through the pastures. We detour around them for a long time and finally we get the equipment to remove them. The rocks stick out of the ground enough to be trouble and it takes a great effort to remove them. The rocks are growing in the ground and are mostly under ground. When we dig them out, they leave a big hole that needs to be filled. Now that the rock is gone, we have a smooth path to follow. When the rocks in our lives are removed, we can travel the straight path and we will be receptive to the power of the Holy Spirit.
"I would rather see a sermon every day than to hear it".
