The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, June 15th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 38 members and 3 visitors in attendance.
Lion Wibby Shearer was responsible for the program and introduced Don Daniels and Scott Zesch. Scott spoke about the project of the Mason Historical Commission, the picture book, "Images of Mason County". This book will contain approximately 232 photos of Mason residents in various locations in Mason County. Scott showed slides of 30 of these photos and told a little about the people and places in the photos. These books will be available for sale at a later date and the public will be informed at that time.
The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, June 22nd, at noon at Zavala's. The program will be Larry Smith.
The Mason Lions has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
