Two Mason ISD teachers are part of a summer production in Fredericksburg. The Fredericksburg Theater Company proudly presents "Willy Wonka", the fantastic Roald Dahl tale of spoiled children who receive their just desserts along with their enabling parents, and of course the true reward for honesty and truth in the hero, Charlie Bucket who ultimately takes Willy Wonka’s place as the Candy Man.
Dawn Hahn, Mason ISD music teacher is a member of the sound crew backstage and keeps the cast’s microphones in working order. Patrice Searsy plays the part of Ms. Teavee, the mother of Mike Teavee. Mike is the golden ticket winner who is enamored with anything electronic including television, computers, cell phones and any kind of animated game.
The show opened on Friday, June 25 and will run for two more weekends. Performances are Friday and Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Contact the Fredericksburg Theater Company box office for ticket details. Or visit www.fredericksburgtheater.org
Join us as we celebrate summer with a timeless story that includes songs such as, "The Candy Man", "Think Positive", "I love to Burp", "I’ve got a golden ticket", and of course the Oompa Loompa choruses.
