St. Paul's Fun in the Sun
Wednesday, June 30, 2010 • Posted June 30, 2010

St. Paul Lutheran Church Park offers a lovely place for kids to play and adults to relax under a canopy of trees and in the privacy of the Church grounds. In these sweltering days of summer, most people would rather stay inside or at least find the protection that trees provide. The park offers just that. But the park offers more than just relaxation and recreation. Just this past Sunday, St. Paul's kids had their monthly Children's Church worship in the Park by the addition of a small portable alter and blankets for seating. So, we had fun in the Sun by growing in faith and trust in God and His Son. The message was entitled "I Will Trust the Lord" and it lay the groundwork for the upcoming Bible School Event, Baobab Blast, which begins at St. Paul on July 5th. We will learn about God and His Son by visiting Kalahari Crafts, Savannah Storytelling, Madagascar Music, Serengeti Science, and also come back to this same park for Grassland Games.

We, the people are the church, but we are so blessed by the facilities God gives us and we invite you all to use them with us. The Children's Church service was followed by a pot luck/hot dog cookout with the St. Paul Congregation attending. Good food, music, and fellowship were enjoyed by all. So, let's have fun in the Son (Jesus) by gathering at St. Paul's park and facility to learn more about our great God and His Son. It will definitely be God's Great Get-Together, as was the Children's Church Worship and Congregational Meal. Hope to see you there. It will be cool!
