The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, June 22nd, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 30 members and 2 visitors in attendance.

Lion Larry Smith was responsible for the program but was unable to attend, so there was no program. The Club members told a few nice jokes and the meeting was adjourned. A "Thank-You" note from the newly formed San Saba Lions Club was read thanking the Mason Lions Club for the contribution in getting their club formed.

The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, June 29th, at noon at Zavala's. The program chairman will be Ted Smith.

The Mason Lions has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
