Community Bible Church A Family Church
Wednesday, July 14, 2010 • Posted July 14, 2010

The 131 year old historic church house located on East Hwy 29 is getting a new church family. The Community Bible Church will hold its Inaugural Service July 18th at 11:00 AM. They are doing it right with a Texas sized dinner on the grounds afterwards.

The Inaugural Service will include special music by Ernest Kirk from Brownwood, Tx. One of the finest voices any person will ever hear. Come prepared to be truly blessed.

Founding Pastor of Community Bible Church Boyd Mins, will be ordained by Rev. Don Zirax from Brady, Tx.. Bro. Mins will preach the sermon titled "Hold on, Help is on the way." He preaches and teaches from the Old Scofield King James Version of the Bible.

The Community Bible Church is a true community church. They provide free classes for anyone wishing to build a strong Godly marriage, wants help with parenting issues, or Christian education.

Mins is well qualified to assist families in need of help. He has three degrees in the helping professions. A degree in alcohol/drug counseling, Bachelors in psychology, and a Masters in Christian Marriage and Family Counseling. For over 15 years he taught the psychology staff of an adolescent treatment facility how to do therapy.

For the past month the Community Bible Church has been offering a Tuesday morning Breakfast Bible Study with sausage and pancakes. The goal for the study is from Romans 2:16, "by what measure will God judge us?" The study will continue throughout the summer.

Mins also teaches a Thursday evening class at Mt. Moriah, Baptist Church in Brady, TX.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of the historical building for Tootie, Bro. Min's wife of 45 years, is hearing the church bell ring before each Sunday service. She hopes hearing the old bell ring will bring many to hear the truths of God which built this country, saves the souls of all that call upon His name and blesses all with hope.

Anyone who has information concerning the History of the church building and its previous churches, please contact Bro. Mins at 325-792-7218. You are invited to prepare a short historical presentation of your information and share it with those in attendance.

As with all growing churches, the Community Bible Church is in need of Sunday School teachers and those who are musically talented.
