Mason Lions Roar

The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, July 13th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 39 members and 1 visitors in attendance.

Lion Larry Spell was responsible for the program and spoke about the United States Flag. He distributed pamphlets to each member titled " Etiquette of the Stars and Stripes", produced by the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. He discussed the interesting and significant historical importance of our national flag.

The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, July 20th, at noon at Zavala's.

The Mason Lions has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
