Steady Steps Children's Weekday Ministry Announces New Director
Wednesday, July 28, 2010 • Posted July 28, 2010

Piper Perlichek has been hired as the new Director of the Steady Steps Children’s Weekday Ministry. Perlichek was selected during interviews of several qualified applicants by a joint committee of the Steady Steps Council and FUMCs Staff Parish Relations Committee. She replaces Nancy Wooldridge, who served as director since January 2008. The Steady Steps Council was very happy to be able to hire someone with Piper’s experience and enthusiasm for this important position in our community. She and her husband, Kory, have 4 children and have lived in Mason for the past 2 years.

Piper will be employed by Steady Steps. She will also continue to serve as part-time Director of the Little Punchers Daycare at Mason ISD. A contract has been made between Mason ISD and Steady Steps by which they can share the costs of a single Director for the 2010-2011 schoolyear, saving money for both entities.

"Cooperation between individuals and organizations has always been one of the greatest traditions in Mason" said Thom Canfield, Chairman of the Steady Steps Council, in making this announcement. "We feel confident that Piper will do an excellent job fulfilling the missions of both daycares and help prepare the children of our community for school."
