The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, July 20th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 39 members and 2 visitors in attendance.

Lion Gaylen Thorn was responsible for the program and introduced our new Game Warden, Randall Brown, who spoke about his 17 year career as a game warden. He and his family have just moved to Mason after living in Coleman the past 10 years. His wife Peggy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emeth Bauer and the Browns have two children, Courtney (14), and Colby (7). Brown told a few stories and answered several questions from members about current game laws.

The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, July 27th, at noon at Zavala's.

The Mason Lions has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
