If you were not in church on Sunday, you missed it. Bill Cotter presented a very special Christian music program which included a series of hymns and songs of praise to God and His glory. He began with "I Can Hear My Savior Calling". He followed that with "Because He Lives" and continued with an old favorite "Whispering Hope". The next song was surely Bill’s much loved Country song – "The Next Time You See Me". He followed that with "Sweet Bulla Land" and concluded the program with "Amazing Grace" with a twist. Bill, we really were inspired with your singing and the music played by your wife, Monica. Everything was great! Thanks much.

The scattered rain missed most of us on Sunday but we have a possibility of rain for a few days. Pray for rain.

Kenneth Durst will observe his birthday on August 1st. And both Robert Grant Durst celebrates on the 2nd of August and Jolie Emma Parker, Jean Lyon’s granddaughter, will be three years old also on the 2nd. Then Jessica Bibb and two year old Lincoln Jordan Calhoun will be celebrating on August 4th. And Jean Lyon and Leslie Toone Cope both party on August 5th. Have a great party and keep cool.

Keep Bill Cotter’s niece Tory, who is pregnant with a child that has an irregular heartbeat, in your prayers. Continue to pray for healing for Sophia Jordan who is now home and doing good. Also pray for John Jordan as he deals with much pain of unknown cause. He is having a scan on Monday. Pray for healing for Ken Kothmann as he prepares for surgery this week. Carolyn Vater’s sister Marcy has gone to M.D. Anderson for treatment. Continue to pray for Jane Krause, Kathy Jordan, Pearl Leifeste, Andrew Kothmann, Anna Grace Durst and Etta Marie Mutschink.

We have many joys. Andrew Kothmann’s 100th birthday party will be held on Saturday, August 14th, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM in The Art Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Come and celebrate with the Kothmann family.

The Krause family also has a joy after Matt’s graduation on Friday. He has been assigned to Dahlgreen, Virginia, for more schooling. We are all proud of you Matt.

Men’s Choir practice will be this Wednesday at 7:30 PM.

Have a great week!
