September 3, First Day to Apply for Ballot by Mail

October 4, Last Day to Register to Vote for Nov. 2, 2010, General Election

October 15, Last Day the Mason County Clerk can receive a hand delivered Application for Ballot by Mail

October 18, First day of Early Voting at the Courthouse

October 26, Last day to Apply for ballot by mail

October 29, Last Day of Early voting

Food for thought:

When Early Voting starts, all applications for a ballot by mail have to come through the Post Office. Voters cannot hand deliver them to the Clerk's office because the way the State looks at that is if the voter can bring the application in during Early Voting, they can just go ahead and vote.
